The summer temperature is calling me outside, but the smoke from all the California fires drives me right back inside. It is such a bad year for fires. Please remember the firefighters and all those who have been affected by the fires in your thoughts and prayers. I’m sorry to start this blog on a sad note.
Let’s turn to a brighter topic. It’s almost July and I can’t believe the year is half over! Soon it will be Christmas time and I need to start thinking of gifts to give. Now is the time to begin the stitching projects if we want to get done in time. This is the year I decided to do a big project for me. I haven’t gotten very far on it, which is O.K. We’ve spent a lot of time on the Acorn Needle website, which has been very important for our customers. I really enjoy the quick projects, so I’m going to have to look for a few quick and fun Christmas projects to do at the same time.
I learned a long time ago how much better it is for me to have more than one project going at any given time. If I get frustrated or bored with one project, I can work on the other one for a while. When I go back to the first project, I’m refreshed.
Today, I visited a needlepoint shop and came home with another exciting project. I don’t know when I’ll start on it, but it has tons of different stitches and is counted on canvas. I saw a completed one and fell in love with it. Three projects at a time shouldn’t be too bad…right?
I need to get on with things. We received a shipment in of new products and I want to get them on the site ASAP, so I’ll stop the blog for now.
Happy Stitching!
